II. present continuous 

Definition: The present continuous is used:
A. To express an action which is happening at the time of speaking. 

Form:   S+ Tobe + V(ing) + obj.Negative form: S + Tobe + not + V(ing).Question form: Tobe + S +V(ing) + obj?

Example: i am working on the internet. 
she is studying English with her friends in the class.
B. To talk action which is talking place around now but is not at the moment of speaking.
Example: i am studying in DONBOSCO ( now i am at home)
she is paying a lot of money ( she still pay a lot of money)
C. To express a future arrangement or place, especially for the short future.
 Example: what are you doing this weekend? 
i am going to the Kep. 
i am doing to Phnom phen.
D. we can use wh question with the present continuous. 
Example:where are you going to?
what are you finding ?
who are you looking?
*. we normally form the present contiuou by using the present of the verb "TOBE"(am is are )
with the present participle( Verb + ing )
1. The normal rule is to add"ing"to the Infinitive form
2. The verbs ending in one"e"we omit the "e"and add "Ing"
Example:i am smoking .
she is coming.
*Note: Verb ending in "ee"we do not omit an"e"we add "Ing"
Example: she is agreeing my answer. 
* Note: die + ing = dying 
lei + ing = lying 
age + ing = ageing 
3. If the verbs have one syllable with vowel+ one consonant, the continuous is doubled 
Example: rob + ing = robbing 

Do not what you want and throw the rest away! 

III.present perfect simple

Definitions * the present perfect simple is used:
A. to express an action which has just happened pr recently finish without definite time:
 Form positive: S + HAVE/ HAS + JUST + BEEN +  NOUN/ ADJ/ PREP + OBJ.
 Form positive: S + HAVE/ HAS + JUST + V(3) + OBJ.
 Form Negative: S + HAVE/ HAS + JUST + NOT + BEEN +  NOUN/ ADJ/ PREP + OBJ.
Form Negative :   S + HAVE/ HAS + JUST + NOT + V(3) + OBJ.
Form Question: HAVE/ HAS+ S +JUST + BEEN +  NOUN/ ADJ/ PREP + OBJ +?
Form Question:HAVE/ HAS+ S +JUST + V(3) + OBJ +?
Example: The meeting has just started.

  •   i have studied English for 3 years.
  • she has worked in the company in the kampot.
  • i have just love her.
